We provide custom cost effective rotor position sensors and rotary nob solutions based on contactless magnetic rotary encoder chips (AMS, RENIHAW, AVAGO) with resolution up to 16 bit, for accurate angular measurement over a full turn of 360°. They are combining integrated Hall elements, analog front end and digital signal processing in a single chip. To measure the angle, only a simple two-pole magnet, rotating over the center of the chip, is required.
These solutions can be used to implement a contactless rotary position sensors, nobs and push-buttons in which the magnet rotates near or moves toward the chip.
The devices based on magnetic rotary encoder chips have unlimited life, no wear, insensitive to contamination and can operate in harsh environment.
